Making the most out of Black Friday sales
Black Friday is almost upon us (November 24th) and a lot of brands will be having sales and some have even started already. It’s a perfect time to shop and score some bargains. BUT with big sales comes a lot of impulse buying and unnecessary purchases as shoppers get excited by the discounts and savings (even on items they might not actually need!). We share our top tips on making the most out of Black Friday sales all while avoiding impulse buying.
Create a wish list
Start making a wish list now and add direct links to the items that you would like to buy once the sales hit. Go through your wardrobe and find wardrobe gaps and focus on filling those gaps.
Plan how you will wear the item
Before you add something to cart ensure you can think of at least 3 different ways of how you would style the item with the pieces that you already own.
The no sale test
Ask yourself – would you buy the item even if it wasn't on sale. If the answer is ‘no’, you probably don’t need it even with a heavy discount. (we know it can be so tempting!)
Cost per wear
It’s easy to get excited by the huge savings and buy lots of cheap things, however it is important to consider the cost per wear. If you buy something inexpensive and only end up wearing it once, it will actually be more expensive in the long run compared to a more expensive item that might become a wardrobe staple that you wear frequently. When items fit your lifestyle and are of higher quality you are more likely to wear them more often.
